OREANDA-NEWS. On  26 February 2008 was announced, that this week will see the public consultations on the project of the specialized offshore oil harbor construction to be built in Kozmino bay (Primorski Krai) and that will be the East Siberia – Pacific Ocean (ESPO) pipeline end point, reported by Nakhodka’s city chief executive, Mr. Kolyadin during the meeting with the city council members.

“The city authorities have a plan to organize the public consultation on site land planning of “Specmornefteport Kozmino” at the turn of February”, - the city chief executive said. According to his story the project of the oil harbor in Kozmino bay of Nakhodka where the ESPO shall be concluded acquires more realistic shapes. The local authorities carry on allocating the municipal land plots for construction, he added.

The construction of the oil harbor within the framework of the ESPO project will work as the strong push for the development of Kozmino township inhabited by not more than 460 persons. The ESPO being built in two stages will connect Transneft’s oil-trunk pipeline system to the specialized terminal on the Pacific Ocean coast. Oil shall be transported though this pipeline to the Asia-Pacific Region countries.
