OREANDA-NEWS. March 20, 2008. Chiefs of the border agencies of Ukraine and Moldova, Mykola Lytvyn and Igor Kolenov respectively signed a cooperation development plan between the agencies for 2008.

The parties considered issues related to basic trends of situation development on the Ukraine-Moldova state border, check points operation, implementation of the agreements reached, as well as outlined guidelines of the further cooperation development.

Lytvyn and Kolenov noted that joint actions ensure stability of the situation on a section of the border.

The heads of the two delegations stressed on the improvement of cooperation of the regional and territorial elements of the two countries' border agencies.
