OREANDA-NEWS. The Council of Workers of Stroytransgaz held a conference at the headquarters of the company on April 10, 2008. The conference was devoted to the council’s work during 2007 and plans to refine its activities in the future.

In his report, Yuri Semyonov, chairman of the Council of Workers, noted that during 2007 the council worked in an environment of evolving civilized and transparent relations and healthy ethics characteristic of stable collectives of highly qualified specialists capable of resolving management, commercial, and organizational-technical issues of any complexity. Mr. Semyonov also commented that the activities of the Council of Workers during 2007 had been directed toward representing and protecting the interests and social and labor rights of employees.

Vyacheslav Babusenko, First Vice-President of Stroytransgaz and head of the Administration Department, was among those who spoke during the conference. Mr. Babusenko thanked the Council of Workers for its efforts and assured those present that the administration of the company will take all possible measures to ensure that the rights and interests of the company’s employees are protected. “We need to formulate an irreversible social milieu,” said Mr. Babusenko, “in which high labor productivity is reached, and where friendship, solidarity within the collective, and maximum profitability of the company are achieved. On that basis, we shall acquire social guarantees, broaden social programs, and elevate the reputation of the entire Stroytransgaz collective.”
