On April 14, 2008 Kazkommertsbank JSC (Almaty, hereinafter - the bank), the listed company of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided to KASE the press release, where informs on signing of the agreement with Air-Astana company. According to this agreement, the bank's Processing Center will ensure processing of all internet-payments in tenge for air carrier tickets, reported the press-centre of KASE.

For procurement of air tickets via Internet (Internet Booking Engine) the Air-Astana clients will have to fill in the application on the company's site (www.airastana.com), choose the route and pay tickets by the payment card. After that, having received the confirmation, print out the electronic ticket and receive the ticket in the air cash desk.

"Kazkommertsbank was selected as the Processing center and the Clearing Bank for cashless Internet-payments when purchasing air tickets to Air-Astana flights via the international booking system Amadeus, as the only Kazakhstan commercial banks, able to accept and process transactions on payment cards of any bank-issuer via Internet using its payment server - ePay (epay.kkb.kz)", - mentions the press release.

According to the message all confidential information (name, card number, validity period, etc.) is entered by the client not on the service provider's site, but directly on the ePay server. The additional protection of transferred data is ensured using the SSL protocol (Secure Sockets Layer).

Internet Booking Engine allow the booking and purchasing of air tickets through the company's Internet site (www.airastana.com) paying by bank cards. It is planned, that in the nearest future the site user will be able to independently choose a passenger sit by their location scheme. In addition to booking flights, the website proposes opportunity to choose food on board of an airliner, to choose and book more than 21 000 hotels worldwide, and rent cars.
