OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2008. “Siberian agrarian holding” group (SAHO) was the general partner of 10thGlobal leadership forum (GLF) which took place in Novosibirsk 18th—23th June, 2008.

Pavel Skurikhin, the chairman of the board of SAHO noted in his report “New opportunities for Russian agribusiness in the world market” that system-based shifts in the global food market make us feel responsible for nutrition of people in the nearest decades.

GLF was founded by Professor Adel Safti, director of Leadership Academy at UNO University in Amman (Jordan) to promote interdisciplinary and cross-cultural leadership concept. The forum pays special attention to the content approach in state policy, private sector, governmental and non-governmental organizations, educational institutions and citizens` associations. It promotes value-oriented leadership paying special attention, on one hand, to interconnections of the world, democracy and development and on the other hand, to relations between humankind development and leadership in any field. Until last year GLF was organized in Jordan and Turkey. Since 2007 Adel Safti has been cooperating with SibAGS as a visiting professor. Largely due to this, 9th and 10th annual forums took place in Novosibisk.

This forum gathered scientists and members of public organizations from different countries, who make a business of leadership. One of the keynotes of GLF was globalization of the world food market. Pavel Skurikhin told participants of the forum about the potential of Russian agribusiness. Striving for leadership can not be really effective if we are motivated only by short-term interests. Leadership means care about the future, social responsibility which will contribute not only to our lives but also to lives of our children.-The chairman of the board of SAHO emphasized.-New circumstances in the world market enable us to fulfill the best achievements and experience of Russian agribusiness and to increase them with our foreign colleagues` experience. I believe that we will be able to save the world from the danger of food crisis through joint efforts.
