OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 August 2008 was announced, that 16th Moscow International Exhibition MIBS Autumn 2008 will be held on 04.09.2008 — 07.09.2008 in Moscow.

Boat&Yacht Show was held for the 14th time and presented products of such well-known manufacturers as Azimut, Bennetti, Ferretti, InRizzardi, Atlantis, Sealine, Jeaneau, Windy, Doral, Yarretti, Wellcraft, Carver, Suzuki, Bombardier, Regal, Bayliner, Maxum, Mercury Marine, Quicksilver, Glastron, Bella, Vortex, Monterey, Yamaha Motor, Sevymarine, Honda, Zodiac, Mares, Johnson, Evinrude, Four Winns, Celebrity, Lowe, Triton, Volvo Penta, SeaRay, Chapparal, Dufour, Selva, Fortus, Galia, Garmin, Buster, Sessa Marine, Tristan, Silver and others.

This year exhibitors demonstrated their boats and yachts in operation and arranged test drives. In total, 56 companies displayed their exhibits at the exhibition site and on water.

Many companies presented their newest products to visitors of the exhibition. Azimut Yachts presented a super yacht 98 feet long Leonardo 98. Azimut 98 Leonardo is a yacht with a long history, and this is not only about the name taking us back to the XV century. The fact is that the yacht, like a good book, has passed "the second edition” with flying colours. The first Azimut 98 Leonardo was built in 2002 and immediately named an avant-garde yacht, to a great extent, due to the designer talent of Philippe Starck. Re-styled version of the yacht was presented in September at the Boat Show in Genoa, and Leonardo again got the same name, with a slight difference though that avant-garde of 2002 and avant-garde of 2005 are absolutely different things. For the first time this luxury yacht was demonstrated to guests of the show.

Boat&Yacht Show appeared to be a productive and effective event for its participants. Michelle Zavadsky, General Director of Prestige Yachts, stated: “We highly appreciate results of the exhibition, as we have obtained an extensive clientele, and we are talking to our clients. The exhibition has moved to a new venue, and there were less random visitors this year”.

Vladimir Levkin, President of World Yachting Group, noted: “I am pleased with the efficiency of the exhibition. Professional environment of the exhibition distinguishes it from other shows, for example, Yacht Festival. People come here not just to have a look and spend time, but to discuss particular yachts, execute orders and think about the next season”.

The next season is coming soon. Participants of the exhibition will meet again on 04- 07 september 2008 in Royal Yacht Club at autumn Boat&Yacht Show/MIBS Autumn.
