OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2008. Power Machines and JSC Naryngidroenergostroy (EPC contractor) signed a contract for supplies of power equipment for Kambaratinskaya HPP-2 (Kirgizia) under construction.

Under the terms of the contract Power Machines shall supply two radial axial runners of 96 tones each. The first runner shall be shipped in November 2008, the second one if 2009.

In the end of the 1980ies – beginning of the 1990ies Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod (branch of Power Machines) designed and manufactured for Kambaratinskaya HPP-2 two sets of hydraulic equipment, including the runners. Upon the breakup of the Soviet Union the financing was stopped and construction of Kambaratinskaya HPP-2 was terminated. By the time the equipment manufactured by LMZ excluding the two runners was shipped to the site of the plant. At the present time the runners which were stored at the warehouse of LMZ are ready to be shipped.

Power Machines’ participation in construction of Kambaratinskaya HPP-2 means the re-entry of the company to the power market of Kirgizia.

The commissioning of the 1st hydro unit of Kambaratinskaya HPP-2 is planned for the end of 2009 which will help to increase power output and develop the infrastructure.
