OREANDA-NEWS. On 16 January 2009 was announced, that OJSC Zauralsky Kreker, a structural unit of Russian grain processor PAVA, had summarized last year’s results. The company specialists say figures look positive. In 2008 Zauralsky Kreker increased sales by 10%.

Zauralsky Kreker is a confectionery plant with product range covering over 30 names of crackers, sugar cookies and biscuits. This line of products is manufactured from prime-quality high-grade Altay flour produced by PAVA which gives the crackers and biscuits exceptional flavour characteristics.

Primarily, new markets contributed to the growth of operational results. The sales geography was expanded both within Russia and abroad. PAVA subsidiary established business contacts with wholesalers and trading network representatives from the eastern part of the country. It was the first time that Zauralsky Kreker products were shipped to the Irkutsk, Sverdlovsk regions and Moscow.

As for overseas markets, shipment to Armenia was made for the first time, and client base in Georgia was enlarged.

For 2009, more serious goals are set. The confectionery enterprise envisages to enhance its presence on near-abroad markets, extend the product assortment and increase sales volume by a third.
