OREANDA-NEWS. January 26, 2009. The utility payments conducted via Azerdemiryol Bank in 2008 totaled AZN 15.2 million, reported the press-centre of Azerdemiryol Bank. 

The bank said the payments grew most of all for electricity – by 42% to AZN 2.82 million, for gas – by 38% to AZN 335,000, for Nar Mobile Telecom services – 17 times to AZN 17,000 and on the payments to the state budget – by 49% to AZN 1.19 million. The payments for Azercell services made up AZN 1.73 million, for Bakcell services – AZN 487,000, for water supply – AZN 111,000, and on other settlements – AZN 8.5 million.

Azerdemiryol Bank is the first participant of the Centralized Information System on Mass Payment under the National Bank of Azerbaijan. To pay in this system, a subscriber will have to come to the bank with his identity card and open a special account to pay for the utilities.
Azerdemiryol Bank has one of the widest branch networks among the banks of Azerbaijan. It has 31 branches and a sub-branch in Baku and the regions.
