OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 May 2009 OAO ARMADA (MICEX, RTS: ARMD) announced that the new Internet portal of Sberbank (http://www.sberbank.ru/), designed and completed by ARMADA Soft in late 2008, was ranked No. 1 among Russian web portals in the Financial Times Bowen Craggs Index 2009 measuring corporate website effectiveness.

Each year, Bowen Craggs website effectiveness research and consultancy group compiles a list of 75 corporate websites of the top FT Global 500 companies (by market capitalization), with 25 companies from the United States, 25 from Europe, and the remaining 25 from other countries worldwide. Portals are assessed by three metrics: construction, message (whether the website projects the company’s image), and contact (meeting the demands of target audiences). Sberbank’s portal got the highest score (among Russian web portals) for its structure, the image of the company’s brand and values, and customer-centered approach, and it was also second to none among Russian companies’ websites in terms of its annual performance, climbing up 14 positions in the ranking.

Russian rating agencies have also put ARMADA Soft products high in their rankings. As such, in April 2009, the Federal Customs Service portal that was designed by the company was rated second in the ranking of 84 websites of national executive agencies by the Institute of the Information Society. Since 2000, ARMADA Soft has obtained a patent for its own portal content management software solution, and created over 1,000 corporate websites using this platform, which now enables it to put its share of the market segment at 25%.

In the mid-term, ARMADA plans to engage extensively in designing public service portals - a vital step towards promoting an information society in Russia.
