OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 July 2009 was announced, that the plant visit of the company's technical group headed by Alexander Faustov, the Senior Vice-President and Technical Director of IES-Holding, resulted in signing a technical cooperation protocol.

The IES representatives inspected the facilities for power equipment manufacturing, and were informed about the prospects of production development. During the negotiations the parties agreed to develop cooperation in the sphere of maintenance and modernization of the existing turbine equipment of IES power plants.

A key provision of the signed protocol stipulates the involvement of the Urals turbine builders in the maintenance of the power equipment operating at the Holding's heat and power plants. Many power facilities have operating life of 30 to 40 years. With such a long equipment life cycle it is important to secure its reliable and uninterrupted operation. This will be the responsibility of Ural Turbine Plant that specializes in steam and gas turbines and spare parts manufacturing. The representatives of the power and machine-building industries particularly noted that the main goal of this cooperation is to provide support to the high-technology sector of the domestic industry.
