OREANDA-NEWS. On 13 July 2009 was announced, that Kazakhstan must preserve high quality of grain to compete at world market.

"On the back of the basic trends of grain export (to Transcaucasus states, Middle Asia, Iran and Afghanistan) and expecting competitiveness from the side of Russian grain in Transcaucasus states, with Australian, Canadian and Pakistani grain at Afghanistan market, it is necessary to take measures concerning improvement of quality of grain to increase its competitiveness at world market", - said Anna Buts, the head of agriculture department of the ministry of agriculture.

"Our advantage is only in high quality of grain because in this season only protein-rich grain will be competitive", - she added.
