OREANDA-NEWS On 08 October was announced, that the next three years the population of Murmansk will continue to be reduced, basically at the expense of moving of its inhabitants for limits of Kola peninsula. To stop this process realisation of such large projects, as development of Murmansk transport knot and development of the Shtokmanovsky deposit will help only.

Victoria SHvets has informed on it the chief of department of prospects, planning and forecasting of city committee on economic development. It has presented the commissions of Council of deputies on the budget and financial regulation the forecast of social and economic development of Murmansk for 2010-2012.

By estimations of experts, the economic crisis has mentioned our city to a lesser degree, than other municipalities of area. Stable position of the largest enterprises making a basis of economy of a city — Murmansk sea shipping company, trading port, the railway and others — allows to expect the next years industrial production growth. However, while small — on the average one-two percent a year. The same rates the turn of small enterprises will grow also.

As the vice-president of Council of deputies of Murmansk Alexey Liberov has noticed, the small and average enterprises are capable to recover city economy considerably. But for this purpose it is necessary to support financially businessmen at least at a stage of formation of business. While help which appears to a small-scale business within the limits of the target municipal program, it is obviously not enough.

City programs, are more exact — their future, have interested also deputy Evgenie Shovskogo. In its opinion, it is impossible to admit, that in connection with the outlined tendency of reduction of investments "under a knife" municipal programs would get also. They help to solve such acute problems, as maintenance with habitation young murmanchan, replacement of lifts, social support of requiring townspeople and so forth.

As Victoria SHvets has assured, all basic city programs will be kept. As to investments the next three years their volume will grow that is connected first of all with the further development of Murmansk transport knot.

If the forecast of social and economic development of Murmansk presented to deputies is justified, by 2012 the number of the unemployed in the regional centre will be reduced to 3 thousand persons, and the average wages with present 28,6 thousand roubles will grow to 44 thousand.
