OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2009. Members of the working group "Economy and Society" of the Finnish-Russian Commission for scientific and technological cooperation visited Ust-Luga port. The delegation included representatives of Finnish authorities, research institutions, university and nongovernmental business organizations. The delegation was headed by Yurki Terva, Consul for trade and economy of the Consulate-General of Finland in Saint Petersburg.

The visit to the port took place within the framework of the seminar on economic cooperation between our countries.

The Finnish delegation was especially interested in "Yug-2" Multipurpose transshipping complex mostly intended for transshipment of new foreign motor cars.

The members of the delegation also noted the high technological level of Ust-Luga port using cutting-edge equipment and technologies.
