OREANDA-NEWS. November 11, 2009. Roman Rybalov has been appointed CEO of Metinvest Eurasia. The decision comes as a part of the strategic program focused on sales boost in Steel and Rolled Metal Division of Metinvest Group.

Mr Rybalov’s duties will cover wholesales of Metinvest in the Russian Federation and expanding the network of metal trading offices owned by Metinvest Eurasia in Russia’s Southern, Central and North-Western Federal Districts. The company runs nine of these metal centres today.

Roman Rybalov, 33, holds an MBA degree from London Business School (United Kingdom) and Columbia Graduate School of Business (New York, USA) as well as a Master of Economics from Moscow State University.

His record of success includes big business management, organizational reengineering and corporate reconstruction projects in mining and metals, oil and gas and chemicals industries in Russia and Ukraine.

Over the recent four years Roman Rybalov took a number of senior positions in the managing company of Metinvest Group and worked as Vice Director for Strategy and Investment at Azovstal Steel Plant.

Appointment of Roman Rybalov CEO of Metinvest Eurasia will help Metinvest Group markedly improve its positions in Russia, a strategic marketplace for the company. Roman Rybalov replaced Dmitriy Baranov, who assumed another post within Metinvest Group.
