OREANDA-NEWS. December 31, 2009. A number of mass media spread incorrect information referring to the source - Shygysenergotrade PLC. Information personalities from the abovementioned PSO (Power Supply Organization) are gross violation of business ethics and contrary to partnership norms on Kazakhstan electric power market.

Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company JSC (KEGOC) informs that on 23 December this year, electricity supply within the territory of East Kazakhstan oblast was performed without restrictions. Today, at 6:40 a.m. electricity supply of the region was performed in full by the System Operator.

It is necessary to note that at present, the PSO consumes less electric power than requests. Thus, as of 23 December this year, a difference between actual consumption and request of Shygysenergotrade PLC has increased to 11 mln. kWh (in total 160 mln. kWh consumed instead of 171 mln. kWh requested).

The System Operator applied technical measures with regard to Shygysenergotrade PLC earlier, in November this year, due to the contract obligation breach by the latter. At the initiative of regional PSO, actions of the System Operator corresponding to the legislation and terms and conditions of concluded contracts are currently a judicial matter. In this connection, on 30 November 2009, the Specialized Interdistrict Economic Court in East Kazakhstan oblast issued the judicial determination, according to which any restrictions by KEGOC are prohibited till the judgment on this case has been awarded.

The judicial determination has been rigorously fulfilling by the System Operator during December 2009. Consequently, possible violations in power supply to consumers in East Kazakhstan oblast resulted from unfavorable weather conditions or other reasons.
