OREANDA-NEWS. February 05, 2010. Modern "Servo" ventilator was purchased for the anesthesiology and resuscitation department of the City hospital of Nakhodka. It is an artificial ventilation system for lungs. 1.9 million rubles were allocated from the municipal budget for its purchase.

"Servo" ventilator is an advanced intensive care ventilator for adults and pediatrics. It is required for practically every patient in the resuscitation department. Previous medical unit became an obsolete. New costly "Servo" ventilator made by Swiss manufacture was purchased by decision of local authorities.

It is more functional and easier to use in comparison with previous medical unit. Parameters of breathing are displayed on a special screen and this allows doctors to watch patient’s condition and control flow of oxygen. "Servo" ventilator offers a wide range of ventilation modes for controlled and supported ventilation. It can be used not only in a stationary condition but also in case of transporting patients, for example, from one hospital building to another.
