Deputy General Director and Technical Director of UTair Aviation Meyramhan Bekmuhanbetov received the Excellence in Aircraft Maintenance and Technical Support Award from the prestigious publisher Air Transport Observer, a leading authority in the Russian aviation industry. The annual award, presented for the third time this year, was presented to Bekmuhanbetov for his great personal contribution to the aircraft MRO industry in Russia.

Mr Bekmuhanbetov has worked at UTair since 1975. Since 1994 he has been a member of the airline’s Board of Directors, heads the Board of Directors of UTair Engineering and chairs the Supervisory Board of UTair-Technik. He has repeatedly appeared on the prestigious list Russia’s Top-1000 Managers and is a member of AEVT technical committee.

Thanks to the dedication and professionalism of Mr Bekmuhanbetov and the engineers in the Technical Directorate he heads, UTair is now Russia’s largest and one of the world's largest aircraft operators. The UTair fleet under his supervision consists of more than 300 domestic and foreign-made planes and helicopters operating successfully in dozens of countries around the world.
