OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2010. The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation registered the Order of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) on approving the procedures for storing information disclosed by participants of the wholesale and retail electric power markets.

Under Clause 5 of the Standards for disclosing information by participants of the wholesale and retail electric power markets, approved by No.24 Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, participants of electric power markets must store the disclosed information according to the procedures established by the federal antimonopoly body.

The established procedures will enable FAS Russia and its regional bodies to exercise more efficient government control over compliance with the standards.

At the same time FAS Russia is tightening its enforcement efforts to ensure that participants of electric power markets observe the Standards for information disclosure. At the moment FAS Russia is inspecting whether the Standards are met by regional network organizations.

Following the inspection outcome, FAS Russia imposed a fine upon a network company in the Moscow region (the fine is paid), and has initiated proceedings against legal entities and officials under Article 9.15 31of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations.
