OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2010. SEVEN Entertainment, the biggest entertainment group in Lithuania, and TEO LT, AB, the largest provider of integrated telecommunication, IT and TV services in Lithuania, signed a contract concerning the maintenance of data centres, communication and computer workplaces.
 
In the course of three years, TEO and Baltic Data Center, a member of TEO Group, will provide services to the ticket distribution market leader Tiketa controlled by SEVEN Entertainment as well as to the Siemens Arena in Vilnius and Cido Arena in Panevezhys. The contract price is over LTL 700,000.
 
As stated by Vidmantas Shiugzhdinis, General Manager of SEVEN Entertainment, the smooth operation of online ticketing technologies is one of the key factors contributing to our success. “To ensure the maximum customer convenience, for the long-term cooperation we have chosen TEO Group having the best cooperation experience in this field”, - V. Љiugћdinis says.
 
“The number of the event organizers serviced by our company is increasing rapidly along with the amount of tickets sold; thus, ensuring stability and readiness to serve even larger customer traffic is of particular importance to us”, - V. Shiugzhdinis says.
 
From now on the system the company Tiketa that distributes tickets to the major Lithuanian sports and entertainment events will be located in the safest and most modern in the Baltic countries Baltic Data Center’s data centers. TEO shall connect them to the SEVEN Entertainment office in Vilnius and operated arenas by using the fiber-optic cables, which will provide the data transmission, Internet and voice telephony services. Also, Baltic Data Center specialists will monitor the computer workplaces and communication networks at the offices of the Siemens Arena, Cido Arena and SEVEN Entertainment.
 
According to Aleksandr Samuchov, Director of Business Solutions department of TEO, TEO specialists’ close cooperation helped creating an efficient technical solution complying with all requirements of SEVEN Entertainment.
 
The system of Tiketa that sold 493,000 tickets last year will operate on the virtual data centre servers. Such technological solution allows to freely increase the technological resources used, simultaneously servicing almost infinite number of buyers. The system’s reliability is of particular interest when distributing tickets to the major sports events and concerts of the world’s most popular music bands. For example, over 10,000 tickets were sold during the very first week of commercial sales of tickets to Metallica concert in Vilnius.
