OREANDA-NEWS. May 7, 2010. On April 29, 2010 the newspaper Kommersant published an article under the heading UTair flew to Moscow where it was stated that UTair Aviation was put up for sale. UTair respects the business of the above mentioned reputable newspaper. We also believe that some part of the information contained in the published article may be true and that some of the persons named among the potential buyers might be truly interested in purchasing UTair business in part or as a whole. The Company can understand this. We, too, consider UTair one of the best aviation assets, and not only in Russia.

However, information that UTair is “up for sale” is not true. The company is not on sale either as a whole, or partially, and no official, representing UTair, has taken part in negotiations regarding the sale of the Company.

UTair is consistently implementing its expansion and development programs and shows stable growth of its performance indicators. In 2010 fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters operated by the Company will fly 300 thousand hours. More than 100 airplanes and 200 helicopters of various types and classes are involved in the operational program of the Company. In 2010 the Company plans to carry more than 4.8 million passengers which exceeds the results of 2009 by 34%. Helicopters will be operated in Russia and in eleven countries outside the Russian Federation, volumes of helicopter operations in Russia and export of helicopter services will increase significantly.
