JSC SITRONICS (“SITRONICS” or “The Company”) (LSE: SITR), a leading provider of telecommunications, IT and microelectronic solutions in Russia and the CIS, announced today that it has received the compliance certificate for its WiMAX access solution (OmniMAX) according to the Ministry of Communications & Mass Communications of Russian Federation requirements. This certificate will be a significant enabler for the company to promote the new product in Russia.

OmniMAX solution was introduced in June 2009 by INTRACOM TELECOM, the subsidiary of SITRONICS in Athens, Greece, which is a part of the SITRONICS Telecom Solutions business stream. The innovative product enables broadband personal wireless services to accommodate fixed, nomadic, portable and mobile end users needs. OmniMAX is ideal for incumbent and green-field operators facilitating fast time to market delivery of advanced and personalized services with guaranteed performance and tightly controlled CapEx. OmniMAX operates in the 2.3-2.4 GHz, 2.5 - 2.7 GHz and 3.4 - 3.8 GHz frequency bands and is fully compliant with IEEE 802.16e-2005 and WiMAX Forum Wave-II Certification requirements.
