OREANDA-NEWS. May 31, 2010. A new metro station is being developed in Novokosino Township, eastern Moscow.

“Funds have already been allocated for the development. This year the builders plan to complete the station’s main hall that is the most prolonged part of the work. The tunnel will be driven next year. If more funds are raised, the driving will start in 2010. The station is scheduled to be commissioned in late 2011 or early 2012,” the local prefect, Nikolay Evtikhiev, said.

According to the official, there is also an agreement with the local authorities on building a 2,000-capacity park and ride facility near the Novokosino station.
