OREANDA-NEWS. July 07, 2010. The Contest Committee of OJSC Sverdlovenergosbyt and LLC Sverdlovsk Heat Supplying Company has announced nominees for the Energy Cooperation Competition Award. The competition was initiated by IES-Holding and supported by the Sverdlovsk Region's government. The list of the most energy-efficient companies includes both large and small industrial enterprises, small companies, trading firms, and service providers.

After careful examination of technical parameters and energy saving programs of the contenders, the Contest Committee came up with a list of the most energy-efficient companies. The most efficient electric power consumers include Sukholozhsky Cement Plant, Pervouralsk Silika Plant, Kalinin Machine Works ("Large industrial enterprises" nomination), Bulanashsky Machine Works, Globo Commercial Finance Company, First Non-metallic Company ("Small / Medium-size Company" nomination), Urals State University of Railway Transport, Gora Belaya Mountain Ski Resort, Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network ("State-Run and Municipal Public Companies"), and others. The list of the most energy-efficient partners of Sverdlovsk Heating Company includes: Kachkanarsky Ore Mining and Processing Works (Open Joint-Stock Company "Vanadium"), Danilovskoe Homeowners Association (Pervouralsk), Regional Children's Clinical Hospital No. 1.

The nominees were chosen among corporate consumers (legal entities) including both IES-Holding's customers and other companies that had expressed a wish to take part in the open competition. The competition includes six nominations: "Large Business", "Small / Medium-Size Business", "State-Run and Municipal Companies; Public Sector Companies", "Agricultural Companies", "Homeowners Associations, Management Companies, Municipal Utilities Companies", and "Grid Companies".

The competition results will be announced at the awards ceremony on May 28, 2010. The winners will be awarded a prize "The Most Energy Efficient Company of the Year" - as a symbol of effective cooperation between consumers and power engineering companies. Other nominees will receive diplomas and gifts.

The most wasteful consumer to be chosen within the framework of the competition will receive an anti-prize - "The Energy Vampire of the Year". The Sverdlovsk Region's nominee for this "award" has already been named.
