OREANDA-NEWS. July 14, 2010. Grand ceremony of sports ground opening took place in Astana on the territory of the dedicated fire station # 3 of the “Service of Fire Fighting and Rescue and Salvage Operations” State Institution of Astana Emergency Situations Department. NC KazMunayGas JSC carried out the construction at the initiative of N.A. Nazarbaev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as part of actions focused on stable development of Astana and the Program of 50 Standard Multifunctional Sports Grounds Construction.

V. Petrov, RK Vice Minister of Emergency Situations, S. Elshibekov, General Manager for Business Support of NC KazMunayGas JSC, representative of Sport Build LLP (name); N. Mikin, Director of the Executive Committee of Sport Federation of Firemen and Salvagers NGO, RK Emergency Situations Ministry (RK ESM), participated in the opening ceremony.

V. Bozhko, RK Minister of Emergency Situations, emphasized the importance of the project commissioned as a part of implementation of the Presidential initiatives aimed at the development of the capital, as well as popularization of healthy lifestyle, physical training and sport.

N. Mikin, Director of the Executive Committee of Sport Federation of Firemen and Salvagers NGO, RK ESM, thanked NC KazMunayGas JSC and all those who provided support to the construction of the sports ground.

Universal construction of the ground, antitrauma and frost-proof coating allow to take sports under maximum comfortable conditions, conduct competitions in indoor soccer, volley-ball, basket-ball, tennis and other sports as well as hockey and figure skating competitions in winter.

Technologies and materials used at the sports ground construction meet the requirements of environmental, sanitary and hygienic, firefighting and other regulations and assume professional installation of sport coating. Thus, synthetic grass for football field complies with international requirements including FIFA and UEFA recommendations and synthetic coating for tennis court is an analogue of the material used for Wimbledon training courts.
