OREANDA-NEWS. August 09, 2010. Summing up first half of 2010 Uzbekistan Airways carried out 11 620 flights – 89 more flights comparatively with 2009. For the first half-year the airline carried 972,6 thousand passengers (for 122,7 thousand passengers more according to the same period in 2009). The average passenger load for one flight increased from 74 to 84 passengers, reported the press-centre of Uzbekistan Airways.
    
In total the airline carried 22,6 thousand tons of cargo including free passenger baggage. 11,7 thousand tons of the cargo were carried on А300-600 from Navoi to Delhi, Mumbai and Bangkok.

In March and May 2010 two more destinations for cargo transportation, Frankfurt and Dacca (from Navoi airport), were opened. Mail transportation increased for 7,1%.
