OREANDA-NEWS. September 6, 2010. CROC was recently recognized as being the best systems integrator in Russia for the ninth time and has improved its rating among the top three IT services players in Russia.

According to the IDC's report, “Competitive Profiles and Analysis of Leading IT Services Players in Russia, 2010,” CROC is the leading IT service provider in the Russian IT services market (6%) with regard to IT services revenue (excluding offshore revenue) and in its key systems integration segment (16%).

“The past year was productive for us, with the challenging external environment stimulating us to increase efficiency. Today, we are a new company and we have become much younger and more energetic,” said Boris Bobrovnikov, Director General, CROC. “We offer our customers 110% relevant solutions which help them to increase business mobility, optimize production costs, and improve management. As a result, we have implemented more than 1,800 projects for our enterprise customers, including over 650 large-scale ones, and have improved our market position dramatically.”

CROC has proven its leadership in the systems integration services market for the ninth consecutive year. In 2009, CROC's revenue in this market amounted to USD 131.07 million (excluding VAT, as detailed in the IDC report) representing more than 55% of our total IT services revenue. Hardware support and installation services (14%) were the second most important source of CROC's IT services revenue and were followed by network integration and consulting services (10.5%).

In addition, CROC has a strong position in the following key foundation markets: No. 1 in the systems integration services market, No. 2 in the hardware support and installation services market, and No. 3 in the network consulting and integration services market and the information system consulting services market.

CROC was recognized as being the leading IT service provider in the combined finance sector in 2009. CROC's projects in the financial sector include: storage system transformation within RussBank; “Application” automated system implementation as part of Sberbank's Credit Factory project; a fault-tolerant database management system implementation for ECOPROMBANK; a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) development for Alfa-Bank; a backup data center for Delta Credit Commercial Bank; debt collection system for MDM Bank; and an email security system for Ingosstrakh Insurance Company.

In the telecommunications market, CROC built new-generation networks and implemented communication, security, monitoring, network management, traffic optimization systems, and telecom infrastructures.

The share of retail projects has increased: CROC upgraded a wide area network within M.Video, Russia's major electronics retail chain; deployed a unified communications network within the Adidas retail chain, and created an ERP system using its virtual computer resources within LensMaster.

In the manufacturing sector, CROC designed IT management processes and implemented an IT operations automation system within TVEL, as well as created a backup system for the United Industrial Corporation. With storage area network virtualization at Aviadvigatel, JSC, the risk of business critical information loss was minimized and IT infrastructure costs were reduced.

In addition, CROC was active in the energy sector. For example, CROC created a Thermal Energy Technological Information Collection Center in the Territorial Generating Company No. 6.
