OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2010. Deficit of trade balance between Moldova and EU countries in January-July 2010 amounted to USD528,1 million, increasing against the same period of 2009 by 38,1%. As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, in January-July 2010 the volume of Moldova’s exports to the EU countries, as compared to the same period of 2009, reduced by 3,1% - up to USD 364,7 million, while imports from the EU countries increased by 17,6% - up to USD 892,8 million.

The EU share in the total volume of exports from Moldova reduced from 54,4% (2009) up to 49,3%, while in imports – increased from 43,1% (2009) up to 44,9%. In January-July 2010 the largest share of Moldova’s exports to the EU countries fell to Romania - USD 121,9 million, followed by: Italy - USD 80,3 million; Great Britain - USD 43,3 million; Germany - USD 34,6 million; Poland - USD 21 million; Greece - USD 15,2 million; France – USD 9,7 million; Bulgaria - USD 7,9 million.

The largest share of imports from the EU countries in January-July 2010 also fell to Romania - USD 197,6 million, followed by: Germany – USD 150,8 million; Italy - USD 145 million; Greece - USD 56,3 million; Poland - USD 52,6 million; France - USD 37,9 million; Austria - USD 33,4 million; Hungary - USD 32,2 million; Great Britain - USD 29,8 million, etc.
