OREANDA-NEWS. October 21, 2010. JSC SITRONICS (“SITRONICS” or “The Company”) (LSE: SITR), a leading provider of telecommunications, IT and microelectronic solutions in Russia and the CIS, with a growing presence in other EEMEA emerging markets, announced the signing of long-term contracts with Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd (SSTL). The contract worth USD 22 Million has been signed to provide for the geographical expansion of the FORIS Billing and CRM system, implementation of the Signaling Transfer Point (STP) platform, Mobile Number Portability (MNP) solution, as well as Managed Service around the solution. This comes at a time when SSTL is in the process of expanding the footprint of MTS, the mobile telephony brand of the company across India.

FORIS Billing and CRM system will be rolled out in all new circles where SSTL is rolling out its services and is currently sized to scale to 26 million subscribers. The state-of-the-art billing system will help the company to introduce new pricing plans for both retail and corporate customers of MTS. The contract is concluded for 3-year period.

Rajeev Batra, Chief Information Officer at Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd, notes: "FORIS roll-out started in 2009 and is going on well. FORIS solution has enabled us to provide quality voice and data services at market competitive prices for the fast growing MTS subscriber base. We are pleased with the proven FORIS solution from Sitronics and sure that it will scale up seamlessly for SSTL, as it serves more than 100 million MTS Russia and CIS subscribers.”

To expand network capacity, increase its reliability and, at the same time save network maintenance costs SITRONICS will also deliver a STP platform to SSTL. The commissioning of such a platform will enable SSTL to make its MTS telephony services accessible to a larger number of customers from other mobile service providers. This assumes significance as Mobile Number Portability (MNP) is about to be implemented in India. To ensure a smooth set up of the STP platform, technical support would also be provided for a period of 5 years as part of a turn key solution.

Mikhail Bondarenko, General Director of CJSC SITRONICS Telecom Solutions, said: “Concluding several new contracts is a significant milestone both in terms of developing our partnership with a telecom company like Sistema Shyam Teleservices and also in the context of strengthening our market position in the region".
