OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2010. The import of vehicles into the territory of Kazakhstan that don’t meet Euro-3 environmental standards will be banned from January 1 next year.

As spread information of the Ministry of Transport and Communication of Kazakhstan reported, Euro-3 is introduced in the framework of the previous government technical regulation requirements for emissions of harmful substances vehicles.

Since January 1, 2011vehicles, produced in one of the European countries in 2001 and later (petrol engines), cars with diesel engines produced since 2002 and later, in the U.S. -since 2001 and later, in Japan - since 2005, in Canada – since 2004, in China - since 2008, in Korea – since 2003 and later can be imported to the republic.

Regulation requirements for emissions of harmful substances of vehicles, approved by the Government of Kazakhstan dated on December 29, 2007, the requirements for motor vehicle safety approved by the Order dated on July 9, 2008.

In accordance with the technical regulations, environmental standards of Euro-4 will be introduced in Kazakhstan from January 1, 2014.

On July 15, 2009 the Republic adopted euro-2.
