OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2010. EuroChem has signed a five-year collaboration agreement with the Ivanovo State University of Chemical Technology (ISUCT). The agreement specifies that the company will offer internships to final-year students of ISUCT every year. In addition, the university’s teaching staff and the company’s engineering and technical officers will share their technical and scientific resources for trainings and development courses.

Unlike past agreements, this one specifies several years in advance how many students will receive internships and where they will work after they graduate. The agreement is the logical continuation of many years of collaboration between EuroChem and ISUCT. More than 80 ISUCT students have interned at the company since 2007, of whom 50 went on to receive jobs at the company.

The agreement demonstrates the company’s foresight in ensuring that it will have qualified personnel in the future, while helping the state to achieve its goals with regards to the training of engineers for strategic industries. EuroChem gives students opportunities to see the company from the inside and gain practical skills before they graduate so that they can quickly adapt to their new jobs when they are hired.

This is EuroChem’s second agreement under the new format. The company signed the first one in September with Moscow State University of Environmental Engineering (MSUEE). The company plans to extend the practice to other major colleges and universities.
