OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2010. Next year, Silvinit is set to produce 5.64 mn tons of potash, the company said in its 3Q2010 operating report. Early in 2010, the company scheduled a 20% y-o-y rise in potash output, up to 3.965 mn tons. In 9M2010, Silvinit produced 3.96 mn tons of potash, up 1.7x y-o-y.

In 2009, the company produced 3.5 mn tons of potash, down from 5.1 mn tons in 2008 and 5.47 mn in 2007, which was the company’s peak annual output. By 2016, Silvinit plans to boost production to 6.93 mn tons: the company is set to extend its production capacity by way of new capital development, modernization of the existing equipment, participation in the development of the Polovodovsky block of the Verkhnekamskoe potash and magnesium salt deposit, and the reconstruction of shafts and dressing plants.
