OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2010. Belarus’ average wage in nominal terms reached 1,305,100 Belarusian rubles (Br) [equivalent to USD 434.6] in September 2010, up 1.4% month-on-month, an official with the National Statistics Committee told.

In real terms [adjusted for the increase in the consumer prices], the average monthly wage went down 0.2% on the month. In January-September 2010, the average wage increased 10.8% on the year in real terms.

The average wage in Minsk reached 1.679 million rubles in September, in the Minsk Region 1.29 million rubles, in the Gomel Region 1.232 million rubles, in the Grodno Region 1.204 million rubles, in the Brest Region 1.178 million rubles, in the Vitebsk Region 1.157 million rubles, and in the Mogilev Region 1.189 million rubles.

In manufacturing, monthly wages averaged 1.461 million rubles, in construction 1.789 million rubles, in transport 1.531 million rubles, in telecoms 1.455 million rubles, in agriculture 879,200 rubles, in retail and public catering 1.127 million rubles, in healthcare 1.006 million rubles, in education 903,900 rubles, in science 1.802 million rubles, in sports 1.575 million rubles, and in culture 927,200 rubles.
