OREANDA-NEWS. December 08, 2010. Integrated Corporate Quality and Environmental Management System (hereinafter - QEMS) of OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel (hereinafter – MMC Norilsk Nickel or the Company) has successfully passed through audit of compliance with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 international standards. The Audit was conducted by independent certification body Bureau Veritas Certification Rus in the Company’s Head Office (Moscow), Polar Division (Norilsk), and Polar Transport Division (Dudinka). The corporate QEMS was first audited and certified in 2005, reported the press-centre of Norilsk Nickel.

In the final statement, Andrey Vostokov, Head Auditor, noted that the Company improved its performance in a number of businesses, as well as that QEMS serves its purposes and, in general, is in line with MMC Norilsk Nickel quality and environmental policies.

Yuri Fillipov, acting First Deputy General Director and representative of the top management for OHS, quality and environmental management, expressed satisfaction with the audit results and underlined that QEMS makes it possible for the Company to maintain the high quality of products and promotes continuous development of the Company’s management and production technologies aimed at further improvement of environment in regions where MMC Norilsk Nickel is present.
