OREANDA-NEWS. January 26, 2011.  Gomeltransneft Druzhba has plans to pump over 200,000 tonnes of Russian oil to Mozyr Oil Refinery by the end of January.

“The oil is pumped as planned, we have received confirmation for the pumping of over 200,000 tonnes of oil by the end of the month,” Sergei Sosnovsky said. In his words, the forecast plan has already been prepared to pump Russian oil to Mozyr Oil Refinery in February.

Russian oil is now pumped towards Naftan, too.

The talks on the terms of Russian oil supplies to Belarus have concluded in Moscow on 25 January. The talks resulted in oil supplies agreements between Belarusian oil refineries and Russian oil producing companies.

In line with the 2011 energy balance plan of the Belarus-Russia Union State, some 21.7 million tonnes of oil might be imported to Belarus in 2011, including 18 million tonnes by pipelines.

Since 1 January 2011, Belarus is to import Russian oil without duties and limits. It is envisaged in the agreement on paying and distributing customs duties (other equivalent duties, taxes and fees), which are levied on the crude oil and certain oil products that are exported from Belarus outside the Customs Union. The document was signed by the presidents of the Customs Union member-states on 9 December 2010. It was ratified by the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus on 21 December and approved by the Council of the Republic on 22 December 2010.

The agreement stipulates new terms of the import of oil and oil products to Belarus. It has also settled issues related to the collection and transfer of customs duties on crude oil and certain oil products which are exported from Belarus outside the Customs Union to Russia’s state budget.
