OREANDA-NEWS. February 15, 2011. A three-year agreement for social and economic cooperation has been signed today between the Company and the Administration of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region (Yugra) in Khanty-Mansiysk. The agreement was signed by Chairman of Gazprom Neft Executive Board Alexander Dyukov and the Yugra Governor Natalia Komarova.

Further to the agreement, Gazprom Neft will carry on supporting the social, economic and cultural projects implemented in the Khanty-Mansiysk Region. In particular, the agreement provides that the Company will co-finance the construction of education institutions. Besides, the parties shall cooperate in supporting grass roots and children's and juvenile sports.

Gazprom Neft and the Yugra Administration will also focus their joint efforts on encouraging investment activities within the autonomous region, and creating favorable conditions for further geological study of subsurface resources. The parties have agreed on joint operations within the framework of ecological programs implementation, as well as the projects aimed at the development of Yugra's scientific and technological potential.
