OREANDA-NEWS. April 25, 2011. UTair Group, consisting of UTair Aviation, UTair Express, UTair-Ukraine, UTair-Cargo, Nefteyugansk, Helisur, UTair Europe s.r.o. and UTair South Africa (Pty) Ltd continues to show significant growth in the first quarter of 2011.

Passenger turnover constituted 2,058,469 passenger-kilometers, an increase of 28.3% over same period in 2010 and surpassing the industry average for growth in this indicator, which stands at 12.1%.

In the first quarter of 2011 the Group’s fixed wing and rotorcraft fleets transported 1,264,727 passengers, a YoY increase of 14.7%. In the period from January to March 2011 the Group’s aircraft delivered 3,780.8 tons of cargo, 10.6% more than for the same period in 2010 and 1,054.2 tons of mail, 38% more than for the same period in 2010. In total, the Group’s fixed wing aircraft logged 50,771 flight hours, 17.7% more than for the same period last year. The UTair Group’s helicopters logged a total of 20,693 flight hours, 23.5% more than for the same reporting period last year.
