OREANDA-NEWS. June 6, 2011. Belarus’ Finance Ministry has posted a republican budget deficit of 3.7 billion Belarusian rubles (Br) in January-April 2011, an official with the Finance Ministry told.

The republican budget indicates spending and revenues of the central administration, whereas the consolidated budget also includes local budgets.

Republican budget revenues amounted to 10.4 trillion rubles in January-April, or 31.1% of the target for the whole year.

Revenues from foreign economic activities amounted to 2.9 trillion rubles, 39.5% of the target for the year, from the profit tax 641.6 billion rubles, 27.7% of the target, from the value-added tax 3.8 trillion rubles, 28.5% of the target.

Republican budget expenditures reached 10.4 trillion rubles, 26.2% of the target for 2011.

Expenditures on welfare, science, culture, healthcare, mass media, sports, education, etc. amounted to 2.4 trillion rubles, 27.5% of the target for 2011, national economy expenditures were at 1.5 trillion rubles, 20.5% of the target, and general state expenditures at 4.7 trillion rubles, 27.1% of the target.

Republican budget revenues are projected at 33.612 trillion rubles, and expenditures at 39.945 trillion rubles. Budget deficit had been expected at or below 6.333 trillion rubles.
