OREANDA-NEWS. July 05, 2011. Azerbaijani-Germany Business Forum was held in Baku on July 5, 2011, within the visit of German business delegation to Azerbaijan headed by German Economy and Technology Ministry respresentative Margrit Steffel, supported by the Ministry of Economic Development and organized by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and German-Azerbaijani Economic Aid Union (DAWF).

Besides government officials from both sides, up to 80 entrepreneurs dealing with various economic sectors including agriculture and food industry, machine-building, logistics, construction etc. have also attended the event.

The head of administration of the Ministry of Economic Development Samir Valiyev and head of administration of Industry and Energy Ministry Rasim Mammadov made a speech about Azerbaijan's latest economic achievements, as well as about substantial economic relations between two countries.

German Economy and Technology Ministry respresentative Margrit Steffel expressed her gratitude over her visit to Azerbaijan and mentioned future progress of the economic ties.

Peter Ziegler, head of Economic Service of the Embassy of Germany to Azerbaijan, on behalf of DAWF managing director Florian Schroeder emphasized that those types of meetings strengthen the intensity of business operations among businessmen along with collaboration and about a huge potential for making that prosper.

AZPROMO president Adil Mammadov presented business and investments opportunities as well as economic perspectives of Azerbaijan.

Bilateral meetings were held during the business forum, and cooperation advantages were discussed.

The promotional materials encompassing economy, business and investment opportunities of Azerbaijan were distributed among German companies' by representatives of AZPROMO.

The visit of German delegation to local manufacturing entities is also on agenda.
