OREANDA-NEWS. August 03, 2011. In the current year overproduction of buckwheat will necessarily lead to a decrease of prices on it. This was stated by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov in Vinnytsia region where he is located with working trip.

As for the prices for sugar, grain and other products of the agricultural industry Mykola Azarov stressed that today their value provides a "normal profitability of agricultural production.

"The main thing we need is stability", - Mykola Azarov underlined. "Now we have it".

Answering the questions of the press about a possible decrease in prices for other agricultural products, in particular for sugar, The Prime Minister noted that the sugar producer must also have a profit for the modernization of production, and consumer interests are protected by the wage increase.

"Now for some reason grain traders engaged by the price of bread, while the producers, who were transferred to modern energy saving equipment are ready to three years not to raise the price of bread", - noted the Head of Government.

Mykola Azarov also informed in the current year it is expected to receive more than 2 million tons of sugar (in 2010 in Ukraine produced 1.7 million tons) thereby the Government plans to purchase in the State Reserve of 400 thousand tons of sugar.
