OREANDA-NEWS. November 17, 2011. I.T. Co. Smart Systems, part of the I.T. Co. group of companies, has completed implementation of the operational accounting and asset control system IT-AI for state unitary enterprise Bashavtotrans. Deployment of the solution enabled the time and labor costs of inventory to be reduced.

Bashavtotrans is the largest transport company in the Republic of Bashkortostan comprising the headquarters, 32 vehicle fleets (bus, trucks, mixed) and other structures spread across the whole territory of the republic.

In the near future, Bashavtotrans is expected to be reorganized, which was the reason for the complete inventory of its assets. In order to reduce labor costs and improve the quality of the process, the transport company decided to implement a specialized automation system. After thorough analysis of solutions available on the market, the customer has chosen the IT-AI operational accounting and asset control system offered by “IT Co. Smart Systems.”

“The need for automation of the asset accounting system came up long ago and the upcoming reorganization just sped up the launch of the project,” said Denis Minkov, Head of Bashavtotrans' IT Department. "Exact and accurate information about available resources on the books is a guarantee of normal work and successful business.”

During implementation of the project, the IT-AI System was installed in the headquarters on a separate platform (SQL-server) and two-way automatic data exchange with the customer’s “1С: Enterprise 7.7” corporate system was set up. In this implementation, inventory information is accessible both through the internal company network (intranet) and via the internet. Marking equipment to be accounted for in Bashavtotrans' headquarters required over 15 000 barcode labels.

Currently IT-AI System has only been implemented in the headquarters of Bashavtotrans, but the company already has plans for its structure-wide deployment. This means not only accounting for equipment located in branches, but the whole vehicle fleet: buses, minibuses, and freight cars.
