OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2011. TITAN-2 Holding took part in the  IV Regional Forum – Dialogue   “Nuclear Facilities, Society, Safety – 2011” organized by the Public Council  of Rosatom State Corporation  which took place in Kaliningrad on November 1-2.

The Chief technical expert of TITAN-2, the Holding’s Technical Director Andrey Garusov delivered his report at the round table “Development of Nuclear Energy Industry in Russia and in the World. Specific Features of the Baltic Region.” The report was devoted to  the new approaches in construction within the frameworks of implementation of the standard project “NNP-2006” at the example of the Baltic NNP. Special attention was paid to the building and assembly quality assurance system currently working in the Holding.  

Among other management and process approaches which proved their efficiency during LNPP-2 construction and could be applied to Baltic NPP as well, A. Garusov marked out the work mix method, top assembly, using the Manitowoc crane with the tonnage of 750 tonnes to unload and assemble the heavy parts and some others.   

Currently,  TITAN-2 Holding is one of the main contractors in construction of Baltic NPP and Leningrad NPP-2. Both power plants are constructed according to NPP-2006 design. The Holding’s specialists have been involved into both constructions since “the first peg.”
