OREANDA-NEWS.  January 26, 2012. Within the framework of his Davos visit for participation in the World Economic Forum (WEF), President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan held yesterday a range of bipartite meetings.

The Presidential Administration’s press service reports that yesterday he had a meeting with President Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf of Switzerland. During the meeting the sides expressed satisfaction with development of bilateral relationships between their countries and stressed the need for their further expansion. The parties also focused on importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Switzerland in the energy, environmental and other spheres and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest.

Besides, President Aliyev met with his Israeli counterpart Shimon Peres and discussed with him bilateral ties and prospects of cooperation in economic, scientific and other fields.
