OREANDA-NEWS.  February 21, 2012. Ukrtranscontainer terminal (UTC), a part of NCC group, restarted operations in the port of Illichivsk on February 16, 2012.

The agreement on joint operation concluded between UTC and Illicivsk port was re-affirmed by the Arbitration Court of Odessa Region on December 28, 2011.

UTC took over the terminal’s management without interruption of vessel handling. Organizational arrangements (employee relocation, property transfer, etc.) have been completely implemented to restart operations. UTC proceeds with rendering services on the same contractual terms that were valid in Illichivsk port in the current year.

"I am sure that after NCC’s return, Illichivsk port will keep on growing as the main container gateway to Ukraine. We expect important changes in the terminal’s operation which will be implemented due to the experience of the international investor, NCC,” said Vladimir Burulya, China Shipping Agency Director in Ukraine.

NCC President, Alyona Ashurkova emphasized: “NCC makes it a point to offer the highest service level to the clients and to continue UTC’s development according the expectations of the world’s leading container lines.”
