OREANDA-NEWS. February 22, 2012. As previously reported, start-up of the equipment has begun at Segezha Pulp and Paper Plant (INVESTLESPROM group) on February, 16 after a fortnight shutdown.

On February, 18 both papermaking machines N9 and N10 have produced the first tons of paper. Papermaking is back on track.

Resumption of work of the enterprise has become possible when the Bank of Moscow has lodged a 400 million rouble line of credit for INVESTLESPROM group to restore the manufacture at Segezha Pulp and Paper Plant.

Vladimir Ermakov, Chief Executive officer of Segezha Pulp and Paper Plant Inc. has told about the course of the start-up operations:

– Guiding of paper in both papermaking machines took place on February, 18. This event was promoted by well co-ordinated and self-denying work of all the production personnel of the enterprise as the enterprise was shut down when the outdoor temperature was thirty degrees below zero. Gradually we are going to catch up with the schedule we're used to. Thanks to robust financing we resupply raw materials and fuel. By February, 20 the enterprise had accumulated two and a half thousand tons of black oil, and three more thousand tons in tanks is waiting for the unloading. There's more than 40,000 cubic metres of technological raw materials – wood chips and paper wood – in reserve, and the raw materials keep coming in.

Sales and Marketing Director of INVESTLESPROM CJSC Alexei Vdovin has commented upon the situation:

– Despite of the emergency situation, we have done the utmost to avoid threatening businesses and reputations of our clients – those who buy our paper, and our sacks.

For example, the stock of paper gained at Segezha Packaging Ltd. was enough for two weeks when the enterprise was shut down. I'm sure, that those who buy our sacks will not feel any inconvenience. Now, when both papermaking machines function within a day it is possible to receive the amount of paper sufficient for one-week workload of sack-manufacturing lines!

The stock of orders for paper is booked-out for the next month. Although we'll have to implement some February applications in March, we still have some time allowance: we deliver paper to dozens of countries world-wide, and in most of them traditional peak demand for paper has not begun yet. Our consumers understand the situation and are aware of possible delays in delivery. I express my gratitude to our long-standing clients who was loyal to us as to the approved vendor and resisted rather prompt and tempting offers of our competitors.
