OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2012. The Agriculture Ministry of Belarus suggests raising procurement prices for new farm products by 30%-120%, depending on the type of crops.

“If we don’t do it now, the return on grain production will be as low as minus 24%”, vice chief of Belarus’ Agriculture Ministry Vasili Pavlovski told reporters Thursday.

For grain crops, they suggest raising procurement prices by 27.1%-27.2%, grain for distillation purposes – 120%, sugar beet – 36.8%, brewer’s barley – 74%.
