OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2012. According to the results of the year 2011 total sales of the top five best selling prescription medications amounted to RUR 1,578.5 million, which corresponds to 35.4% of sales in the prescription medications segment and 24.9% of the Company’s total sales.

According to the results of the year 2011 the top five best selling prescription medications are:

Cerepro (Holina Alfostserat; ATC[2] "Medications for the treatment of central nervous system deseases"); sales increased by 30.1% as compared to the same period of previous year; sales in the prescription medications segment made 9.5%;

Irunine (Itraconazole; ATC "Antimicrobials for systematic use"); sales increased by 51.8% as compared to the same period of previous year; sales in the prescription medications segment made 8.4%;

Geptor (Ademetionine; ATC "Digestive tract and metabolism"); 7.0% of sales in the prescription medications segment;

Amigrenin (Sumatriptan, ATC "Medications for the treatment of central nervous system deseases"); sales increased by 91.9% as compared to the same period of previous year; sales in the prescription medications segment made 5.6%;

Doxorubicin-LENS (Doxorubicin; ATC "Antineoplastic and immunomodulating agents"); 4.9% of sales in the prescription drugs segment;

OTC drugs

Prescription medications segment is characterized by the high degree of consolidation. It means that the top five best selling medicines make 98.6% of sales.

Xilen (Xylometazoline; ATC "Medications for the treatment of respiratory system"); sales increased by 19.7% as compared to the same period of previous year; sales in the OTC drugs segment made 51.8%;

Slabilen (Sodium picosulfate;  ATC "Alimentary tract and metabolism"); 23.6% of sales in the OTC drugs segment;

Motilak (Domperidone; ATC "Alimentary tract and metabolism"); sales increased by 41.4% as compared to the same period of previous year; sales in the OTC drugs segment made 16.8%;

Vitasharm and Vitatress (ATC "Vitamins"); sales increased by 86.4% as compared to the same period of previous year; sales in the OTC drugs segment made 5.1%;

Ginos and Ginkgo biloba (Ginkgo biloba; ATC "Medications for the treatment of central nervous system deseases"); 1.3% of sales in the OTC drugs segment.

Traditional drugs segment

According to the results of the year 2011 total sales of the top five best selling traditional drugs amounted to RUR 27.8 million, which corresponds to 97% of sales in the traditional drugs segment.

According to the results of the year 2011 the top five best selling prescription medications are:

Vero-Dexamethasone (Dexamethasone; ATC "Hormonal drugs for systematic use"); 49,6% of sales in the traditional drugs segment;

Pyridoxine  hydrochloride (Pyridoxine; ATC "Alimentary tract and metabolism"); 24.3% of sales in the traditional drugs segment;

Vero-Ciprofloxacin (Ciprofloxacin; ATC "Antimicrobials for systematic use"); 11.1% of sales in the traditional drugs segment;

Flukonazole (Paracetamol; ATC "Antimicrobials for systematic use"); 8.6% of sales in the traditional drugs segment;

Vero-Loperamide (Loperamide; ATC "Alimentary tract and metabolism"); 3.3% of sales in the traditional drugs segment.

Adhesive bandages and cosmetic products segment

According to the results of the year 2011 the sale structure of this segment is as follows:

Conventional antimicrobial adhesive bandages; 37.5% of sales in the segment in 2011;

Conventional reel adhesive bandages; 25.2% of sales in the segment in 2011;

Therapeutic patches - pepper plasters; 21.6% of sales in the segment in 2011;

Therapeutic patches - corn plasters; 14.9% of sales in the segment in 2011;

Cosmetic products (Veromistin Silver, Daily, Flores); 0.7% of sales in the segment in 2011.

During 2011 Veropharm started production and sales of the following new drugs and cosmetic products:

Vero- Epoetin (Epoetin beta; ATC "Antineoplastic and immunomodulating agents"); new dosage - 4000 IU [3]  № 1;

NEW DRUGS REGISTRATION

In the year 2011 Veropharm received registration for the following drugs:

Poludan (Polyadenilic acid plus Polyuridilic acid; ATC "Medications for the sense organs treatment"); new form of the drug and dosage – nasal drops 50 IU/ml;

Aprotex (Aprotinin, ATC "Medications affecting hematogenesis and blood") new dosage -  10000 KIU [4]  № 1;

Ksilen (Xylometazoline, ATC "Medications for the treatment of respiratory organs"); new form – nasal spray.
