OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2012. TRANSNEFT JSC presented a Declaration on building Kuyumba-Taishet trunk oil pipeline to the Government of Krasnoyarsk Region. Anatoly Bezverkhov, the Vice-President of TRANSNEFT JSC, presented the Declaration on a meeting that was attended by representatives of executive and legislative bodies of the Region, as well as representatives of supervisory entities, local self-governing authorities and noncommercial organizations.

Andrey Gnezdilov, the Vice-Chairman of the Government of Krasnoyarsk region underlined that such Company’s deeds were not presupposed by any legislative acts, but “this is a goodwill gesture by TRANSNEFT Company”, he underlined. As a result of the discussion of possible economical, social and ecological after-effects of the oil pipeline building on the territory of Krasnoyarsk Region, a special work group was created that would offer its own suggestions to the development engineers of the new oil pipeline project. On initial estimations, the Company would create 4.55 thousand of new work places at the stage of pipeline building. And 1.35 thousand workers would be busy with the oil pipeline servicing.

A Decree on projecting and building of Kuyumba-Taishet trunk oil pipeline was signed by V.Putin, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, on April 17th, 2012. For the moment, two variants of the oil pipeline route are being discussed. The main route is considered the longer one, of 703 km length. “This variant will allow the Company to bypass some large settlements as well as the Boguchansky nature reserve”, A. Bezverkhov clarified. The main part of the pipeline (512 km) will go through the territory of Krasnoyarsk Region. The building of Kuyumba-Taishet oil pipeline will allow commercial exploitation of Yurubcheno-Tokhomskoye and Kuyumbinskoye oil and gas fields. According to the Governmental Decree, the building of Kuyumba-Taishet oil pipeline is planned for the fourth quarter of the year 2016.
