OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2012. A working meeting of the CCI of Russia President Sergey Katyrin with Prime-Minister of the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich took place in Minsk.

Chairman of the Belarus Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov, Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine Sergey Skripchenko, and General Director of the Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts of Lithuania Rimantas Shidlauskas also took part in the meeting.

The main topic of conversation was the discussion of new opportunities that the Single Economic Space opened up for business.

Besides, the CCI of Russia President raised an issue of the ATA system operation in the Customs Union territory. In particular, he noted that at present only Russia and Belarus out of the Customs Union countries are participating in the ATA global system operation. Kazakhstan, that in November 2010 ratified the Convention on the Temporary Importation dated June 26, 1990 and adopted a number of attachments, is currently going only through a procedure of entering the ATA system.

Along with this, an issue of the ATA carnet application for transit of goods through territories of the CU member-states has not been solved, that is why S.Katyrin suggested to regulate an issue of the ATA carnet application by way of using transit procedures within the Union state. Later Kazakhstan may join the bilateral agreements achieved between Russia and Belarus.
