OREANDA-NEWS. October 3, 2012. Kaspersky Lab announces that both its consumer and corporate solutions have once again received a VB100 award following regular testing by the authoritative Virus Bulletin magazine. Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows and Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 produced impressive performances in the detection rate test and both earned a “stable” rating in the separate reliability test.

August’s testing was conducted on machines running Windows 7. As usual, the security suites were evaluated on their ability to detect and block widespread malware, as defined by the WildList Organization. The two Kaspersky Lab solutions successfully passed this test with a 100% detection rate and zero false positives, easily meeting the requirements for a VB100 award.

Nikita Shvetsov, Vice President of Threat Research at Kaspersky Lab, commented: “In its VB100 testing, Virus Bulletin sets a number of strict criteria that security suites have to meet before receiving an award. But thanks to the carefully crafted and tightly controlled testing methodology, it provides a unique overview of how stable a product is over time. We are glad that both Kaspersky Lab’s consumer and business solutions consistently achieve high marks. The August VB100 award is now the fourth in a row for Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows and the sixth for Kaspersky Internet Security, thanks to the continuous day-to-day work of Kaspersky Lab’s developers and experts.”
